Engineered River Stream Retains Mountain Embankment
Engineered River Stream Retains Mountain Embankment
Heres one example of the sheer genius of Quentin Owen and his team. There is a massive amount of steel construction supporting the structure of the river-stream and retention pond below.
Water is re-circulated from the pond and trickles down 2 constructed river streams that support planting spaces and manage run-off from the mountainside, effectively retaining the steep embankment in a very attractive and unique way that looks completely natural.
Slate stone from the area was used in conjunction with unique methods of rock fabrication. This project is over 15 years old with no maintenance, truly standing the test of time.
